Itinerary

Day 01: Australia – Hanoi

Fly from Australia to Hanoi on Vietnam Airlines, the dynamic capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for 2 nights

Day 02: Hanoi (B/L)

Hanoi, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards and public parks, is a very attractive city with French style buildings and friendly people. Today, we enjoy a city tour with lunch at local restaurant. The tour includes One Pillar Pagoda, designed to resemble a lotus blossom, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and St. Joseph Cathedral. At the end of the tour, take a rickshaw to “Old Quarters” where you can do your shopping for all local handicrafts

Day 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

After breakfast, drive to Halong Bay then cruise aboard a traditional Junk with facilities of the high standard; double cabins with suite bathrooms, a spacious dining room serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine, plus a large sun deck area. Seafood lunch is served on board while cruising past Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Sung Sot cave, before stopping at Titov beach for a swim. Dinner is served on the boat as the sun setting

Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L)

Enjoy breakfast on board while continuing to cruise around the emerald water of the bays, visiting Man’s Head Island, Tortoise Island, and Luon Cave. Return to the pier just before noon and disembark and drive back to Hanoi for 1 more night

Day 05: Hanoi – Hue (B/L)

Transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for 1 night. Afternoon, enjoy a half day city tour to this old Imperial City; Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and Dong Ba Market.

Day 06: Hue – Hoi An (B/L)

This morning we drive to Hoi An passing Hai Van Pass, Lang Co and Danang. On the way you will pass Truong Son Mountain range that is just south of China Sea which give the spectacular views. Arriving in Hoi An late afternoon, check in at the hotel for 3 nights

Day 07: Hoi An (B/L)

After breakfast, start your day with a cooking class of the famous Vietnamese cuisine by going to the local market to buy your own ingredients. Lunch is at the cooking school. Then we visit this picturesque riverside town, which once was the main port of Southeast Asia thus so many beautiful architectures could be seen and best on a walking tour including a boat trip on Thu Bon River.

Day 08: Hoi An (B)

Enjoy more of this peaceful beach town at your own pace

Day 09: Hoi An – Danang – Nha Trang (B)

Morning, drive to Danang for a flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for 2 nights followed by a half day city tour with a visit to a local market

Day 10: Nha Trang (B/L)

Morning, take an excursion by boat for snorkeling on offshore islands.
Depart from Nha Trang pier to Tam Island and stop to snorkel in the crystal clear waters. Continue to Mun Island (Ebony Island), which has perhaps the best preserved coral reefs in the area, teaming with marine life and spend most of the morning here before continuing to Con Se Tre for lunch and relaxing on the beach.

Day 11: Nha Trang – Dalat (B/L)

Journey east towards Dalat, stopping briefly at Chicken Village whose inhabitants belong to the Koho minority. Nestled in the mountains, DALAT is a charming former colonial hill station with an abundance of colorful parks, lakes, gardens and waterfalls. Its temperate climate has earned it the name “City of Eternal Spring”. Our half-day city tour includes important sites in this charming town.

Day 12: Dalat – Saigon (B)

Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for 2 nights.
Afternoon, visit Cu Chi Tunnels which was an important base during the Vietnam War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelters and weapon factories dug out by hand and simple tools without the use of cement; this amazing network was never discovered during the War.

Day 13: Saigon - Mekong Delta (B/L)

Today we will visit the largest and most bustling of Mekong Delta Market, Cai Rang, which best visited in the morning hours. Fruits and vegetables are all presented on long poles, truly an amazing place. Afternoon drive back to Saigon

Day 14: Saigon – Australia (B)

Half day city tour; takes in all important sites like Notre Dame Cathedral, The Central Post Office, City Hall, Ben Thanh Market and Dong Khoi Street or “Rue Catinet”
Afternoon enjoy your last minute shopping until your transfer to the airport for an overnight flight back to Australia.
